I remember fellow Americans speaking approvingly of Singapore in the 90's. "Ah, now that's the way a country should be run" they seemed to to be implying.
The choice of phrasing here seems interesting. "He broke a couple of teeth and four ribs in the process.", implying but carefully avoiding the conclusion that the police broke those teeth and ribs. The headline here on HN draws the obvious conclusion.
In case people miss it, this is probably fake. The disclaimer at the bottom reads, in part:
