I am not well-versed in AI, but this seems to be a problem with the sources the AI is going off of, no?
I'm Muslim, and more disturbed by the AI parroting Chinese propaganda about the Uighur Genocide than its regurgitating stereotypes based on a bunch of news articles or whatever. And I say this because I wish there was more extensive reporting/talk/action on that issue. Like, it is dismaying that the Chinese government has produced more propaganda on the matter than the rest of the world has spent discussing the issue.
China has been committing a genocide in Tibet for generations. Somehow when it came to Uighurs it is a problem and Tibetans are conveniently ignored.
The point being that the real world is biased. AI is bound to be biased.

Was the oppression in Tibet at the level of what is happening with the Uighurs, though? Are there concentration camps, rapes, forced labor, etc?
