After setting up pfBlockerNG, I realized that my partner's Peloton was contacting different ad networks many times per minute 24/7. (mobile-collector.newrelic.com api.segment.io sessions.bugsnag.com) It is the most actively blocked device on my network now on a VLAN of its own in case it is probing my network. I still worry that it is recording our conversations. I feel sorry for people who own these, do not realize this, and do not have a good adblocker firewall.
An exercise machine... contacting different ad networks many times per minute 24/7 ... probing my network ... recording our conversations ... adblocker firewall

Throw that trash out

So Pelotons are like smart TVs? Do they work without internet? What do they use internet for other than spying?

Does it have a mic?

It is an Android device that uses internet to show videos. It has a speaker and probably a mic. The things we put up with for love..
Those URLs aren’t ad networks.
They may just be data collectors, but I did not analyze the encrypted traffic. They are called every minute even when nobody is in the saddle. DNS block does not impair the functionality. So I assume as did the maintainers of the block lists that they are collecting data unnecessary to user functionality.
