How to Migrate Google for Your Domain to Normal Gmail (shkspr.mobi)

The problem with this approach is that if you use your Google account for anything else (docs, photos, YouTube), you then lose all that. There are some things you can't re-import on the new account, like photo album sharing settings. And even if you meticulously set that all back up on the new account, your sharing is now coming from the @gmail.com account, not your personal domain anymore.

You can just use other stuff, you know. Stop acting like an abused spouse.

You don't need your own email server to switch your MX records to Proton or Zoho...

Surely moving away from Google is the answer here?
