This is my Rails app that I've been working on for a few years. While managing software and engineers, I spent a lot of time using and thinking about issue tracking software. I've used all the popular options and was never satisfied. Either they were too complicated or didn't do enough.
Here is want I want in a issue tracker:
* Easy to use (For people submitting bug reports, working on software, reviewing code)
* Open Source
* Separation between "Issues" and "Tasks".
* GitHub Integration
* Descriptions and comments with robust Markdown support
TaskRoller, I hope, satisfies my criteria.
My goal in posting my app here is to get some feedback and people interested in trying TaskRoller. There is a live version of the app with open sign ups: https://production.task-roller.net/ . Please check it out if you need an example.
