Ask HN: Do companies still have 99.99999%, or similar, uptime SLAs or OKRs?

It used to be all the hotness to make these kinds of uptime guarantees. Is that still the case?

If so, how do you even prepare for that? If Facebook couldn't protect themselves against some DNS misconfig causing a 7 hour outage, what chance do you have of true 5-9's uptime at your smaller company?

That SLA in the title is like on the order of 3 minutes per year. Who has made such guarantees in the past?
