What are we going to do about our captured systems? Are most even aware of all of the systems are captured and how, and what the solutions may be? Is Western society at an inflection point or is it going to continue to worsen?
This comment stems from the Canadian trucker convoy - Freedom Convoy 2022, aptly named BearHug - and the mainstream narrative and discussion I’m seeing online in regards to it - regardless of the numbers, whether it is high or low, whether there is a magnitude or two or not of Canadians quietly protesting but not traveling to Ottawa, this is a question of freedom and whether we’re okay with what’s going on - which includes suppression of conversation, of scientific method, in an attempt to reach the truth; all of which has to do with system design which I believe the HN community cares about. All 11 official, and unofficial, convoy routes will merge and arrive in Ottawa in roughly 24 hours from now.
I know there are people who have lost people close to them due to COVID. Believe it or not I know people who’s healthy family members have died soon after the vaccines, and I have other random close contact stories from people of adverse events: one woman, an Air Canada staff who was assisting me in a wheelchair to my gate - just started sharing with me without us talking about COVID or the pandemic at all, she seemed desperate and needing to share her and her son's pain/story with someone: her ~25 year old son still had severe myocarditis still even after 2 months from the vaccine. He’s not allowed to work for at least 1 year due to any activity could cause him to die, the doctors tell her that's very rare - yet the actual research and data shows young boys/men have rate of ~1:2000 for just myocarditis. What are the odds of a random woman telling me of her son’s condition, perhaps ~1:2000? What's the short-term and long-term cost on that family (and I don't just mean monetarily - that mother seemed very on edge, bursting enough to tell a total stranger a very personal story of suffering)? And I didn't bring this up at the time because there'd be no value, I didn't tell her that there's something like a 25% death rate within 5 years after myocarditis, so will her young son even be alive still in 5 years? I doubt their doctors told them that either, as in the media myocarditis is played off as mild which is insane that potential lifelong cardiac problem for young boys is somehow mild; the integrity of our language use has been appalling during this pandemic as well. I'm not being dramatic either, this is reality - but mainstream media isn't talking about it, so people aren't thinking about it much if at all, definitely not thoroughly; in part because people have been trained by people like Trudeau who's been hate mongering, so then if you question anything about the pandemic you're pejoratively called an "anti-vaxxer;" how useful is that in discourse, in developing a more educated, thoughtful population?
Most of our deaths in Canada were from long-term care homes, in 2018 (I believe it was but I don't remember the year now, might have been 2008), the government in power then decided to eliminate random spot checks to make sure the homes were being operated properly: death rate in for-profit long-term care homes was higher than the not-for-profit, but still the Federal government knowing they were facing a pandemic didn't initiate protocols to first protest the elderly. Why? Why aren't people furious with the current politicians and the politicians who stopped the policy of random spot checks? If you're told exactly when your room is going to be checked to make sure it's clean, you'll have it pretty clean for right beforehand. If it's random and you'll be punished increasingly with fines, or other, then you'll make sure it's as clean as possible at all times.
We also shouldn't blindly trust "doctors" or the health agencies. I am in fac...
Our systems and institutions have been being lead by increasingly incompetent people who aren't adequately equipped to understand or operate them, and then we have dis-ease progression of these systems - where over time their state worsens and worsens. It’s obvious now to me after Trump got elected to bring out caring, intelligent, thoughtful and heartfelt entrepreneurs like Andrew Yang - who helped me understand the duopoly, the establishment, and how mainstream media and how industrial complexes influence the narrative via their advertising dollars. It leads to extremes, an out of balance system that’s fighting between one extreme with the other. I do love Yang’s core policy proposals as I believe they would bring balance back to the equation, two good examples being Democracy Dollars and Journalism Dollars. The first being a $100 voucher to give to every eligible voter every year to contribute to the politician of their choice - which would act to wash out or heavily counterweight the $4 billion every 4 year political cycle that industry lobbies politicians with, with ~$32 billion - a ratio of 8:1. Similarly, the second would be a voucher, let’s say of $50 per year for every adult to contribute to the journalist(s) of their choice - who they believe aligns best with their interests and ideally will do a good job investigating and reporting on issues - which then would be $16 billion per year, which at least would be a start to funding non-advertising revenue dependant news agencies, the pharmaceutical industry which spent nearly $7 billion advertising in the US alone in 2020. But Yang’s policy proposals are not what this post is ultimately about, and you can read his last two books if you want to know more: “The War On Normal People: The Truth About America's Disappearing Jobs and Why Universal Basic Income Is Our Future”, and “Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy”.
How much of this suffering/death is from COVID, and how much is from the policies - arguably many of which have been unnecessary and excessive - which lead to heavy restrictions on freedoms, some arguably reasonable, others not so much? If we can't even have that conversation, thoroughly and in the mainstream, then we're completely lost. But please, downvote me to show you're happily, blindly toeing the line, that you're doing your part by suppressing the "anti-science" - when in fact discussion is critical the scientific process, to finding the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - so help you God.
Making a blanket statement of "I trust doctors and science:" there are expert doctors and researchers who give a different, valid narrative, who have been actively suppressed during this whole pandemic - who are highly credentialed scientists, they are very logical, their logic is congruent, and they are very articulate/eloquent with their speech - and they cite data and well-done research - contrary to the hit pieces and smear campaigns out there.
If you trust science then you'd believe in the scientific method, which includes having full-open conversation. There were powerful preventative-proactive measures that we knew about 1.5+ years ago that could have been mass deployed, why didn't mass testing start 1.5+ years ago, etc? And more concerning yet is why hasn't the general population been educated on these things? Why isn’t all of society shocked at Fauci’s statement of “I am/represent science” - is it simply because the majority are poorly developed, have underdeveloped critical thinking and such? Are people just too stressed, unhealthy, too busy with working too much to then have energy or attention for more than copium entertainment (whether it’s entertainment they call news that’s masquerading as news vs. actual entertainment)?
One reason I believe is that Google's search results are also captured, and manipulated towards the mainstream narrative, and the general population doesn't understand these mecha...
Everyone: Check out the long-form discussion between Jordan Peterson and Brian Peckford, Peckford who is the last living First Minister who helped write our Charter of Rights - and he just a day or two ago filed a lawsuit against the Federal government for violating it, and not only that - they didn't even follow the due process if they did want to use the "reasonable exception" mechanism: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdhFuMDLBDM - which Peckford doesn't believe the pandemic doesn't meet the criteria for - the first 90-120 days was unknown, but after that the data was in, and he believes the reaction doesn't match the necessary definition of society being in peril.
Canadians: Check out the FreeNorthDeclaration.ca - sign it if you care if laws are being broken and due process isn't being followed in Canada; 500+ Canadian lawyers have signed it so far, in hopes to educate Canadians of these abuses.
Most Canadians don't realize that parliament was closed for most of the pandemic so there's been basically no public debate, no opposition, to the actions of the Trudeau government - nor that of our health agencies; $400+ billion was arguably poorly spent. Every Canadian should watch this video but I'm afraid there's so much blind hate and anger for unvaccinated people, perpetuated regularly by Trudeau (hate crimes/crimes against humanity IMHO, people may disagree but we have judges and a judiciary process for a reason - laypeople are laypeople and not experts in legal domains, etc), that most people on Canadian subreddits either heavily downvote what I say or even ban me - just for sharing above what I have.
Everyone: Check out the Great Barrington Declaration - gbdeclaration.org - a multi-disciplinary group of experts from the US, who among other things point to a growing number of legitimate studies that suggest you're more likely to catch COVID after you've been vaccinated (not immediately of course, that's not what they're saying, but once the waning immunity starts you're more likely to catch COVID afterward than if you didn't get vaccinated; and in one sense that's easy to understand, as the vaccine specifically targeted the spike protein of the "first" variant, the original virus, but it's evolved significantly multiple times now - now with Omicron; so it seems that by vaccinating it seems we've somehow reduced the immune system from responding as well to future infection; there is also growing body of data that shows there's an uptick in other viruses after being vaccinated, and an uptick in certain cancers or conditions caused by viruses, arguably the mRNA vaccine is brute force telling the immune system where to direct its resources - and so then if the immune system is managing and keeping other viruses at bay, it no longer can - I could cite this too but I'm getting tired and don't have it readily available so I'd have to search again.
And how about this story of Maddie De Garay, which I believe calls into question the integrity of all of the vaccine clinical trials, just watch it - roughly 10 minutes of testimony for how they were treated during and after the Pfizer vaccine trial for 12-15 year olds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2GKPYzL_JQ. The excuses I’ve seen online to just to discredit or discount Maddie and her mother are disgusting and unconscionable IMHO, and shows people don't actually care about the scientific process, they don't truly care for integrity nor for the whole truth. People have dismissed what happened to Maddie as automatically not being due to the vaccine, but that’s not how clinical trials work if they have integrity - you include all events that occur, and not minimize what happens to someone - nor suppress results by defini...
