Ask HN: Pragmatic Christian Sermon

I'm an atheist, but I don't want to be too far away from Christianity culture. At least I can blend in with my religious family. Where do I find lectures/sermon that has perfect balance between practicality and christian culture? You are also free to criticize my preference if you feel like this is wrong, thank you

I'm personally am unclear of what you are asking for?

what purpose or use do you want out this, if you want a practical lecture there are ample across many topics, with no religion involved.

A sermon by its nature is one of a religious or moral nature. and is often based around not literal matters.

what do you see what your asking for looking like?

All I can think of maybe something from the Unitarians (https://www.uua.org/worship/words/sermon)

Most sermons are practical. Yesterday's was on the power of the word sorry and the benefits of being able to give and accept forgiveness in your personal relationships. Now there were many references to the Psalms as well as Christ being the ultimate model of forgiveness. But surely you wouldn’t discount the message because of that.

I'm also an atheist. You don't need sermons or allegories to be a good person in my view.

Ethics, as a concept, and behaving in a ethical way is mostly common sense: Don't harm others, etc.

If you want to go deeper, however, you'd probably be better served reading on the Philosophy of Ethics, rather than religion in my view. Try read up on John Stuart Mill, Immanuel Kant, et al.
