There is so much to learn about how Israel is handling online criticism of its policies.

Its very clear that a massive investment is made by the state to ensure that it is free of criticism for its actions - and many other world nations are taking note.

Situations like this just highlight the importance of having open, free media around the world that cannot be easily censored by any particular government. This is why we must support the formation of a free and independent media, not subservient to the mainstream networks' heavy cash influence. Its also why its more vital than ever for everyone online to learn to differentiate, identify and associate with phony 'grass roots' "movements" designed to interfere with the mainstream narrative. We have seen 'both sides' of any particular political position fall victim to - and become victorious over - this particular issue. We are no longer alone in a state-less environment - state actors are ever-present and more and more obfuscated as these campaigns become more and more effective.

Lets make no bones about this - the issue of the discussion about Israeli apartheid of the Palestinian people, and the means by which this narrative is controlled, successfully or otherwise - will be the stuff of political science and journalism studies for decades ..

>In 2018, Palestinians in Gaza began to hold weekly protests along the border with Israel, calling for the right of return for refugees and an end to the blockade. Before protests even began, senior Israeli officials warned that Palestinians approaching the wall would be shot. By the end of 2019, Israeli forces had killed 214 civilians, including 46 children.
