Even if they haven't, AlphaFold itself has solidly cemented their place in history. I think they made a spinoff to commercialize it.

Adjacent question - what specific methods and techniques have DeepMind contributed to the field? Deep reinforcement learning? (Didn't they stop using it at some point?) What else?
