It would never cease to amaze me how many bills that are proposed as solutions to truly abhorrent things, like child porn and sex trafficking, are in reality just trojan horses for something else.
There is a pretty even split in support at this time.

The solution is probably to dismantle Section 230. Publishers need to be accountable for what they publish. No more picking and choosing when to be accountable. And yes this might destroy social media as we know it, but that's a good thing. Social media is a cancer on society.
Why does everyone always get this backwards? Section 230 is what allows moderation without assuming liability for the content. Completely unmoderated forums do not require section 230. Moderated forums do.
