It's great to finally see this information—which was fairly clear already from the literature—hitting the NYT. (Still, it's too late to stop the booster handwringing and virtue signaling we saw in NYC during Omicron.)
Again this discussion? Does the booster limit spread? Go for it then as having large proportion of society on sick leave is destructive and for sure less spread is less dangerous for those who are at highest risk. Just do not force people to do it.
This isn’t really the conversation that was being had during Omicron. There was much talk of forced boosters (and lots of shaming for not getting boosted), mostly based on fear and ignoring the available data.
