If this thing turns out to be half as important as I figure it just might be, I'd say that they're all in line for some important promotions and personal citations.
We’ve had 3+ in/around the South China Sea for quite some time now, & only one near Russia/Ukraine.
Not to be too tinfoil hatty, but it would appear we have some major concerns in that area while Russia/Ukraine tensions have been building.
I personally have a lot of friends on the Essex right now & worry about that being a major target if the US gets heavily involved with Russia & China decides to step in. I see it as essentially the most vulnerable of our aircraft carrying capable ships that are deployed.
