Philip for smart bulbs, and I think recently latch who makes smart lock for apartment homes. Ring should also be considered as IoT company for their smart surveillance camera. Amazon Alexa def is one that profiting from IoT

The design service companies that non-tech companies go to to build their IoT solutions.

IoT is an ill conceived, bullet point feature on many products. The companies adding IoT don't have the staff of know how, and contract it out, and are unwilling to pay for security.
