It's really bizarre how desperately the US is pushing for war, the entire world can see through their mindless propaganda. Even the Ukrainian President needed to tell Biden to calm the f*ck down.[0]
The U.S. is definitely NOT pushing for war. No one wants war with Putin's Russia. But Putin's Russia is a bad actor on the world stage and have attacked the U.S. repeatedly. So we are being proactive now.
It's true that no-one wants war. That includes Russia, actually.
The whole "war is coming" is pushed by the US for some reason and the public buys it.
As you can see it even allows the US to claim "victory" when Russia stays put.
Of course they are trying to do something (and so are the US). But what is it? Are they planning military action or doing a show of strength to send a message?
I think propaganda and disinformation runs high on both sides at the moment so that it's not straightforward to get an idea of what is really going on.
It's best to be critical of what we're told either way... This includes wondering what it's in it for the US. I doubt it is Ukraine per se, and even if it is we can also wonder what the US are doing there so there is definitely more than meets the eye.
And what exactly did I get wrong? Your response flirted with an ad hominem insinuation, namely that I am biased and emotional, and ignored what I said.
This article has nothing to do with Nancy Pelosi. It is about Zero Hedge parroting Russian propaganda from a "think tank" called Strategic Cultural Foundation. You can choose to trust them, but this is the warning that you are trusting Russian propaganda.
To your article, here is another quote you didn't include:
> First, accuse Vladimir Putin of doing something he never intends to do, a fabricated scenario.
This is an interesting analysis. Do you believe Russia has 150k troops on the border? Why does Russia have 150K troops on the border? Why did Russia announce today that it was pulling back from the Ukraine border [1]? What is there to "pull back" from if they had no intentions?
That ZH is a conduit for propaganda is not a surprise to me, but I’ve long felt even the financial commentary incongruous with reality. If you believed it all you’d jump off a bridge, while the world just carried on oblivious.
Even if you believe this response, recent actions (the Russian invasion happening) prove their analysis was completely off the mark. Their site now has a bunch of articles covering the same invasion they assured us would never happen.

They announced a "pull back" today. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/15/ukraine-concerns-ease-on-rep...

There is no way to know, that's the entire point. The moment you don't take it seriously is the time they conduct a military action.
So yeah, they're spreading propaganda, fer certain.
Hard to avoid, in the news business.
