I don't get it, either. In places like Amsterdam and NYC, there are tons of grocery stores/delis/bodegas, many open 24 hours. And most will deliver, at least in NYC.
In areas where driving is pretty much required (not places like NYC or Amsterdam), something like this makes more sense. But in dense, urban environments it seems like a waste of time and resources.
Then again, if you want to make money, you go where the people are -- and that's in cities.
