The homeless have lived in the subway forever. I wonder what percentage of the crime they actually commit.

I was in New York eleven years. This is good. It's not a good place for them, and their presence so often turns a subway car into a hell of hygiene and assault. Homelessness is usually accompanied by severe mental problems. Huge amounts of mental patients were turned out when major hospitals shut down in the 80s / 90s. We need to take them somewhere decent.
