Reading this made me feel guilty for experiencing relief and even some happiness for the future.
I have no bearings. A perspective like the article is an outlier - that the way the earth is headed is not all bad, and that there are real benefits to the side effects of our explosive growth.
Is it a toxic activity to indulge, and imagine that it could be true? What a controversial topic.
I like hope. But this looks dangerous, and I'd like that backed by large reliable data collections (I don't see any sources).
And we have to mention the large lobbying bodies that would be more than happy to see this kind of narrative being spread.
