Fingers crossed! Its so absurd having so much type information, but having it all bound up tight inside one not-very-extensible compiler. Type information should be a thing other tools can build on. It feels like typescript has been letting this slide for a long long time now.
I agree! But luckily transformers let us take matters into our own hands. This solution aims to provide any type of metadata you'd be interested in and already covers a great deal of cases like reflection on classes without decorators, getting tokens for interfaces, reflecting on interface structure, doing object shape matching at runtime, reflecting on functions and more!
