Write a script to count the number of flagged comments on each thread, to give us some actual data. If you were feeling particularly ambitious, you could do some natural language processing to work out the topics of comments or submissions which received more flagging than average.
That might give you an idea about what the ideologies of the flaggers are, from which you could attempt to claim that it is "authoritarians" doing this, and not simply people who think that certain comments don't add anything useful to the conversation.
