The worst thing you can do during a war is suppress communication between the two sides.
It is suppressing services. Many Russians need to open eyes. Ukraine is always open to communicate
You think persons (any suitable epithet will get me banned) like that[0] will open their eyes because of this mild annoyance? Do you think they even use the services that would install this snippet? Google as opposed to Yandex, etc.?

People who would get hit by this are watching the horror unfold with their eyes wide open.

Probably not for long, as the rumors are that total Internet shutdown is coming—and believe it or not it is at the initiative of Russian government that precisely wants to block sympathetic Russians from accessing external sites with news and livestreams. It is not capable enough to do it selectively a la TGF of China, so it seems willing to sever all communication whatsoever.

FYI, some Russians who oppose the war get their information about the events from Ukrainian websites.
If you want to convince someone to do X, insulting them won’t get you far.
There are many Russians who oppose the war, this sort of thing doesn't help anyone
It is too late for me to use it on my current project.

But can you make a modified version of it, so I have it handy the next time the US invades some random country?

It seems to me that young world-wise Russians, the kind likely to use your website, are mostly against this war, and so this is counter-productive.
