In a parts shortage? Probably this is from countries banning Bitcoin mining. When they got banned they stopped buying cards.
Or where electricity got expensive enough that mining ROI is too long to be worth it. However, this is great news in my opinion.
Nobody buys graphics cards to mine bitcoin so that can't be right.
Technically correct?

but their meaning is "bitcoin/crypto". Much the same way internet/web and hoover/vacuum cleaner are interchangable to the general public.

As for if it's the actual cause? idk.

Technically incorrect but socially “correct” where correct means as incorrect as the average person. I consider that to be a very prominent sign of lack of research.
The gaming peak caused by the pandemic is subsiding as nations open up
You don’t need to ban mining ether is so cheap it’s not worth it right now
Does anyone knows why?
Multiple things are happening.

1. Etherum is moving to a "Proof of Stake" at some point this year. This will mean you don't need GPU power to mine Etherum. While Bitcoin can be mined with ASIC's Etherum requires a large amount of memory (aka a GPU).

2. Chip shortage is easing

3. Intel (and others?) are announcing / releasing GPUs that are looking pretty darn good.

I am hoping to pick up a used 3080 or similar once proof of stake is announced. I expect a pretty large ebay inventory increase once this date is set.
