Hi, My name is Evan. Over the past few years I have been responsible for building, deploying and maintaining the software to run a post Ion-Exchange metrology instrument for measuring surface and deep stress in chemically strengthened transparent substrates. This instrument and accompanying software is deployed to and used by customers to determine the Ion-Exchange process success. The application functions in both single measurement human operational mode as well as interfacing with an automated assembly line capable of measuring 10,000 parts per day, per instrument. This application has grown since its initial deployment and was completely rewritten in the past 2 years by myself and the team that I lead. We migrated from vb.Net 4.6.1, WinForms to .netcore3.1, WPF using Prism.MVVM. In doing this we completely revamped our code libraries, compartmentalizing everything into separate generic nuget package libraries for easy to reuse code. The software has now grown into supporting 3 distinct instruments used not only in QC abroad but also in internal R&D as well.

Android programmer. I have worked at startups, and at large companies as well.
Other than Javascript (including React Native), I have some experience in a lot of IT tech things, including devops/SRE type work (although my current knowledge is slightly dated in 2022). Primarily I am interested in programming Android, which is what I have been focused on for a while.
Verkada is a company that is the best combination you can find: it is the industry leader in terms of technology and product; and its market share is still very small just due to the fact that the company is very young. But because it has indisputably superior technology and product, it’s eating the market share like crazy. The company’s growth has been extraordinary. It’s pretty much been doubling itself every year. In the industry of physical security, all of our competitors are 20ish-year-old companies that have no idea how to make good software (and products in general). It’s about time for somebody new like Verkada to come and shake this industry (and makes some good money along the way :P).
If Verkada is at the frontline of revolutionizing the industry, the mobile team at Verkada is at the frontline of the company. We are the bar raiser of UI/UX design and software quality in general for the whole company. It’s not very often you get a chance to work on something that is literally leading the industry. It’s not even close.

Hello, I have been working as a Software Engineer for my current employer for 2 years and am considering a change. I am seeking a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or SRE position. At my current position, I wear a lot of hats. I write frontend code, backend code (mostly with Go or Python, otherwise SQL functions for small bits), and code used throughout our data pipelines (Go and Python). We are primarily a network operations shop and self host pretty much everything, so I have been exposed to a lot of different networking technologies and low level infrastructure, including monitoring of said systems.
