The fact that some of them don't have this problem means that the problem is a consumer protections failure, not a categorical product hazard. So you'll have to pardon me if I consider that strictly a danger of inadequate safety regulations and not a danger of protein powders. How known hazard testing of random samples of all foods sold to the public isn't mandatory at regular intervals is beyond me.

What alternative do they suggest?

- 6 ounces of plain Greek yogurt

- a cup of milk

I know there are lactose free version of those, but there are also lactose free versions of the proteins...
