Ask HN: Will the situation in Russia create a storm of cybercriminality soon?

They're one of the country with the most hackers on earth, and a lot of them are very competent.

Now that their economy is even more destroyed than before and that the future for citizens looks really grim.

Do you think we'll see a huge number of new cyber-criminality?

Not just from old timers who are doubling down, but from regular engineers who lost their jobs/income, or desperate non-technical folks who starts learning from their local friends?

With sanctions it seems to me that it's soon going to be one of the only viable way for a lot of Russians to make money.

Do you think we need to prepare for that? How?
