Coursera has just suspended access to Russian language courses (old.reddit.com)

Oh dear, here we go... corporation jumping into the bandwagon without much thought as usual!

Russian language courses? Seriously? Completely ridiculous.

This is insane. Really. Banning languages now? Are we cancelling cultures next?

isnt that discrimination? lots of russian speakers dont live in russia

The absolute worst thing to do is to kill dialog between you and your enemies. It lets you to paint this picture of a boogie man and allows you to commit the most hanous of crimes because you no longer see them as human.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Many Ukranians understand Russian. Say you had already started learning a little Russian before, now you'd like to brush up on it for volunteering or helping out in some way, but you're not allowed to?
