Ask HN: Resources to Learn About NFTs

Hi,

I am looking to learn more about NFTs for two reasons: a) upcoming job interviews with companies in that space; b) I want to learn how to mint some of my own.

Does anyone know of any decent introductory resources which convey substantive knowledge about NFTs, how to mint them, etc, without being overwhelming?

If I had anything to do with it, working on NFTs would mean you never work in this industry again. I am not the only one.

There are certain niche applications where they might make sense if done right (managing namespaces for example.) No one working on NFTs seems interested in applying them in useful ways though.

I am interested in learning about such applications, if you'd care to elaborate. Using tokens for permissions or for partial ownership seems interesting.
