And this is precisely why I'll never go Nvidia on any of my machines again. I respect them a lot for being friendly to open source. Not to mention Ryzen. AMD is simply doing phenomenal. Sure, they're not cutting-edge on niche features like ray tracing, but I personally haven't cared for RT. I prefer frame rate in my games. And open source above all else.
As an aside, it was disappointing to see Linus Sebastian choose an Nvidia card for his recent Linux challenge. While the majority of his content focuses on computer builds utilizing Nvidia and he gave reasoning about why he chose that approach for his viewers, the result was less fortunate than could have been.
