Some old-timers here might know me too.

Unfortunately, I am still holder of a russian passport (and subject to russian banking), who lives abroad (south east Asia) for last 12 years.

Due to recent developments I have to close my sites to save money, which is a painful decision.

Aside from certain mentality induced by spending my youth in Russia and having Asperger's and what not, I am a top tier FP guy among other things. I am also an expert in "remote" (12 years abroad), open source software, etc.

The question is - now what?

I understand why I got fucked and have no complaints. But thing are changing forever, so there might be some ways to get a refugee status or a remote work which will lead to a residence.
