Ask HN: Why did a bunch of people from Rails core team resign today?

Today three people resigned from Rails core: https://github.com/rails/website/commits/main

From what I’ve pieced together is for on Twitter, https://world.hey.com/dhh/no-railsconf-faa7935e kicked off a wave of resignations, but I’m not sure why they all hit today v on March 3.

Does anybody know what’s going on with Rails core team?
