Ask HN: Get ACM to allow open API access to their Digital Library

Open-access bibliography navigation tools have been totally left behind because of publisher paywalls, but the ACM should set an example by allowing outside app developers to access their digital index (if not the full text). I'm sure there are at least some people on HN who could think of better tools to navigate scientific literature.
