iOS is absolutely terrible when it comes to WebGL. It is practically unusable. I tried all major browsers and each is just as equally bad. There is no Text-to-speech support either. Terrible experience. Apple is anti-web.
It is a disaster...why bother supporting it at all, if its performance is so degraded as to be useless.
Apple is purposefully ignoring the web ecosystems to force users into its walled garden.
I have an android that is 3-4 years old running sites flawlessly across all browsers....and I have an iPhone 13 that cannot get FPS above 15?
WebGL performance may or may not be bad on iOS, but this isn’t about iOS.
The poster of that message answered the question (on that page) “Could you please provide more information? We need to your hardware configuration, and the web pages on which you see degraded WebGL performance” with
“A range of new and old macbook pro's, 15 & 16inch with discrete graphics”
Apologies - I thought i had copied the link about iOS - not the desktop safari. I changed the title to better reflect the general sentiment of the post which that Apple is systematically anti-web.
