Christopher Alexander Has Died (en.wikipedia.org)

Christopher Alexander was the author of A Pattern Language, The Timeless Way of Building, and many other architecture books. His work has influenced Computer Science through the idea of design patterns, games by being the main inspiration for SimCity and also influencing Spore, among many other contributions.
