Ask HN: Notion? Google Docs? ms word? alternative

As the title says, Im looking for somewhere to keep documents. I dont need full fledged ms word or g docs, and notion leaves way too much white space on the margins its ridiculous (yes, one setting but it doesn't make much difference), on a laptop its just wasting half the screen on margins.

Is there any alternative? that let you type freely all across the screen, and has auto save and possibly an android app?

Whmisical is close, but no android app and the web based version doesnt let you edit documents on mobile which is... ridiculous.
