What I especially like about this execution of the concept is the gravity-based method by which the keyboard halves can be engaged. Further iteration on that feature could lead the way towards seamless switching of keyboard use and having both hands free for other stuff.
I use a similarity small keyboard layout and the one thing that's stood out as "next level" for it's design is one-handed use. I.e., be able to access all the letters from a single half of the split-keyboard. QMK makes this easy with it's swap-hands feature, although I haven't implemented it for my own layout yet. If I had a keyboard like the one demoed, I'd want to be sure to have that functionality available.
Being able to hold and operate a touch screen phone with one hand while sending keypresses over Bluetooth to it with the other without having to switch hands or hunt-n-peck would be truly awesome.
