Hello world, we're super happy to share Kukkee here!

We started Kukkee because we wanted to empower people — friends, teams, university students and faculty, organisation members, and more — to quickly find the right time to meet, while letting them keep control of their personal data, branding and costs at all times. We're just getting started so keep an eye out for Kukkee's upcoming features. Kukkee is open source, and contributions are more than welcome!

Excited to have you try Kukkee and hear any feedback you might have along the way!

You can learn more about Kukkee's current and upcoming features, how to self-host and even try out a live demo – at https://kukkee.com.

I was looking for a doodle alternative, because the latest "improvement" made it far worse. The kukkee demo seems to require registration though? one of the best things about doodle for me was that I can just use it instantly without registration.
Creating an account on your self-hosted Kukkee is a simple process and it gives you access to more features. Moreover, without an account, you would need to keep track of the 'admin' URL. Kukkee is built for people who need more control over their scheduling, hence having an account is crucial. But I'm happy to hear how creating an account is a pain point for you.
it adds friction and doesn’t provide value. I prefer me and my users not to share private info unless it’s absolutely necessary. Take a look at products like excalidraw, hackmd and others like doodle and rally.co (no affiliation to any of those).

Having the option to use an account is fine, but forcing it is a mistake in my opinion.

Of course it’s your product and you can choose whatever makes sense to you.

p.s. creating an account wasn’t painless actually with strange password strength requirements (between 8-15 chars, special symbols etc), but that’s not the main point.

Kukkee's features like protected polls (to avoid impersonation), and many of our upcoming features like inviting participants through Kukkee (without having to share the link), calendar integrations, video conferencing integrations, etc., would require having a verified account since our users would need more control over their scheduling. Thank you for letting us know about the password requirements!
I’m not against having the option to sign in, but for simple use-cases like mine so far, there was no need to sign in. forcing it adds unnecessary friction. Anyway I think Rally suits my needs better and I wish you all the best with kukkee
Moreover, Kukkee is built to be self-hosted. Hence, you won't have to worry about sharing any private info.
my users will be if I want to let them use it. I guess it’s not for me then and that’s fine.
Kukkee has public polls too which won't require users to have an account.
