Assume that we have infinite computing power. Do we know enough about matter and the other building blocks of the universe to be able to create a digital one? If not, what pieces of knowledge are currently missing?

We don't know all the details, but thanks to the scientific method, we could get there, if you provide the compute power.

Build a prototype, compare to reality, adjust for differences, repeat.
