Tell HN: Levels.fyi Is Not Accurate

I know a data point for Google L3 is 250K TC, while levels.fyi shows 191K.

And I don't think it's an abnormal data point, although it's just ONE data point.

191k is the average. Click over to https://www.levels.fyi/company/Google/salaries/Software-Engi... and sort by TC and you can see entries that go as high as 350k and as low as 53k (some sort of internship-like arrangement would be my guess).

Look around at the data points for other levels and various companies and you'll see that the ranges for each level can vary considerably more than a 60k difference between a single data point and the median, even within a single location.
