Warp raises $23M to build a better terminal (techcrunch.com)

From a VC perspective, I can definitely see the appeal of trying to monetize the terminal. It's essentially "wasted" from an attention economy perspective, as well as from a telemetry / data harvesting perspective.

As a heavy terminal user, I hope this fails badly.

23M VC to build a terminal app? I wouldn't touch that terminal app with a barge pole. It would be forced to be monetized/telemetrized to death...
