I had never heard of them[0] but saw them explicitly mentioned in Stripe's 2021 letter. Any thoughts on their platform? Better or worse than alternatives?
I haven't made a course, but I have bought several courses that are managed through Teachable.
I'm happy with it, it feels nicer to use than Udemy, Coursera and the like, and I have the course providers "under one roof".
No idea how the experience on the other side — for the teacher — is, but I'm really content with it.
Of course I download and save all videos locally, just in case. No idea if it's possible with all Teachable courses, but so far I haven't seen one that doesn't allow it (and makes it easy: the links are provided on the course page, you don't have to use youtube-dl or so).
