I was using Sheets to share comments and files/images with a colleague and it took forever to upload the file to G Drive, copy the link and then paste it into the respective cell.
There are a couple of scripts that did this in a way but I wasn't happy with the result. So I've made a free simple add-on for those that need to easily add links of files in Google Drive to Sheets.
Once the add-on is installed you will see a sidebar where you can click to add files or just drag a drop your file. The file is uploaded to Drive, the name of the file is added to the cell and linked to the file itself in Drive.
The add-on collects only what it needs to work, nothing is shared.
The add-on is free and it has some paid options but for 95% of cases the free version is enough. The Pro version is $20/year for 1 user or $99 per domain with unlimited users.
