Detailed map of submarine cables in 2022 (submarine-cable-map-2022.telegeography.com)

I'm really suprised by the low number of cables between, say, Europe an US. Are those "big" ? I mean there are 20 or so cables for the whole traffic between these two regions, those must have a lot of bandwidth !
