Ivermectin acts on a receptor that viruses lack, so if there’s an anti-covid use it’s a side effect. Given that humans have a modified form of the receptor target, overdosing had risks of triggering the anti-parasite effect on the one taking the med.

One would think that it’s better to look into meds that are fully shown to deal with covid symptoms (such as steroids or anti inflammatories), the newer anti-virals that have started appearing or one of the many vaccine alternatives. If current luck holds, covid has reached a form that can be (somewhat) safely endemic with risks +/- the various flu possibilities. Although “long flu” isn’t a part of the conversation.

If you’ve chosen to not vax, congratulations on your good fortune! Don’t buy a lottery ticket for a little while longer :-). Might want to work on the selfishness a little, or review your “just rely on others” approach when the next bug comes along.

Episomology aside, a few months after this blog the Brazilian study found improvement with Ivermectin. Specifically, in a setting with many parasites, hospital admissions for respiratory infections were less than expected. The Ivermectin was working; on something other than respiratory viruses.
You know what's weird. I remember a controversy over Joe Rogan getting ivermectin. I remember many people IRL even insulting Joe Rogan for taking ivermectin... a horse dewormer. Then the subject got censored, I mostly didn't care. My doctor and doctors in Canada are generally doing a great job and are morally trying to do the right thing for me.

But Ivermectin came up recently... someone said to search the nih for 'ivermectin cancer'

China has put out a few articles that are very intriguing. Mexico...

Ivermectin as an inhibitor of cancer stem‑like cells

Was the outrage over ivermectin from people knowing it cures cancer? Did joe rogan interview some powerful person who knew or something?

Did someone seriously discover the cure to cancer, mislabel it as horse dewormer hoping nobody looks into it?

Are we on the precipice of a huge life expectancy boost world wide? These mRNA vaccines can be used for viruses like HIV and so many others eh?
