I thought Elon was mostly a paper billionaire. I wonder if this deal would mainly be a stock swap or if he would have to sell $43B in stock, BTC, and Dodge to raise the money to buy Twitter.

Take the real money if offered, and think whether the stock swap makes the assets any more real. As with any social media company, it’s built on sand as the user base can always move on if given a reason. The technical resources to make another twitter are small and word of mouth is pretty easy anymore. I figure most of the HN community has entertained “I can do it better” thoughts.
