Ten years ago, Apple discontinued iWeb, web sites were increasingly mobile-first and novice or occasional users were out of luck. RapidWeaver extended a lifeline and many iWeb users came over to RapidWeaver. One feature of RapidWeaver was seamless integration with a plugin called Stacks, produced by YourHead Software. Stacks enabled dozens of developers to extend the functionality of RapidWeaver and made web page creation easy. For a decade, all was well.

Now, RapidWeaver has announced that it is adding an internal Stacks-like function, to be called "Elements," and in response YourHead is creating a stand-alone program that will permit the use of existing Stacks plug-ins without the need to purchase RapidWeaver at all. Users seem to have lined up on both sides. Will they be caught in the crossfire? YourHead's side of the story: https://forum.rw4all.com/t/no-stacks-in-rw9-stacks5-app-is-c...
