Disney bullied by their own employees into a foreseeable self-own.

Florida is the first-order loser here. They now have to pay for services like fire and road maintenance that Reedy Creek used to cover. Orange County (which along with Osceola is one of the two most affected) will see its taxes rise as much as 20%. Similarly, Florida is now on the hook for nearly a billion dollars of debt previously held by Disney.

I don't think any bad outcomes beyond status quo will actually happen. This'll end up in court and the worst outcome is opportunity cost. Like usual.

Our culture and institutions are obsessed with appearance and signaling. Outcomes are irrelevant.

Disney needs to show allyship. Not actually prevent the law from being passed. Florida needs to rein Disney in, not actually protect children.
