Perhaps the best solution would be to be vaxxed so far that when you do get Omicron or one of its descendants that it's mild. Afterwards, you'll have both vaccine and natural immunity for (wildly?) different versions of Covid. Pending another mutation or three that makes things worse, this is sorta the best-case for turning an epidemic -> endemic (see Flu).
If production of the spike protein is bad, the getting covid is worse than getting vaccinated - way more spike protein created along with the rest of the virus in a non localized form in the body. And, there are other mechanisms that do not use mRNA vaccines that would avoid this problem.

There fully might be as yet unseen risks to long vaccine. There are well documented risks to getting covid in young, healthy people (baseball, euro football) along with a a pile of folks who have moved on.
