Had some thoughts and was hoping to continue the discussion on Georgism based on the interesting article yesterday. Does anyone else worry that by taxing (occupied) land you get less of it?
I currenlty own a modest house in a modest neighborhood. I own the property outright, with no mortgage. Under Georgism, I would not be able to afford taxes and would have to leave (sell or abandon) my property. So however it might work from the government's point of view, it would be a disaster from my personal point of view.
