Cars are pretty different from how they were just twenty years ago. Different propulsion, different fuel, totally new driver assistance features and tons more software. That probably leads to the need for different talent.
Pretty late in their product roll-out cycle to make this determination. And I wonder who in the org was qualified to decide who could and couldn’t be part of the new talent mix.
Not to mention that they'll have to increasingly invest in infotainment and their software package as cars become places people spend more time (while charging)

Ford Blue makes hybrid tech, and Ford Model e is responsible for EVs.
