Ask HN: Example mobile apps that offer free content for registration?

Can any of you think of examples of mobile apps that offer bonus content (levels, items, badges, etc.) in exchange for providing an email address or creating an account?

I have asserted to some of my colleagues that such practices are well-established in the mobile app space, but am having trouble coming up with specific examples.
